Robin Johnston & the Alma Surf Mormaii
The Alma Surf Mormaii International – stop 5 of the 2011 Stand Up World Tour - took place at the beautiful Maresias Beach on the North Coast of Sao Palo last October 22nd-31st. It was an event to remember, with challenging beach break conditions & world class athletes trying to consolidate and improve on their rankings. Mistral Team Rider Robin Johnston won the second heat and now ranks fifth overall.
The final stages of preparation for the 2012 Stand Up World Series are now underway, which will see up to 17 events in 14 countries, all leading to the prestigious and climactic final of the year to take place on the North Shore of Oahu, at Turtle Bay in October of 2012. The first event on the 2012 World Series will take place in Fiji next month, from the 13th - 18th November, featuring the Stand Up World Series sprint and long distance courses.
