Succesful Mistral SUP clinic
On the 11th of May, Mistral organised a SUP clinic event in a typical dutchx scenery at De Zon in Ommen, Netherlands. Accompanied with excellent weather, many vip and sports professionals came to see a presentation of Mistral taking Stand Up Paddling beyond the coast, towards the famous Dutch river ‘Vecht’. The venue showed that the coastal lifestyle can be found on any location where you can relax and enjoy this young sport at any water type!
The clinic was appreciated and many of the guests took up the opportunity to get into SUP. It showed to even the most unbalanced feeling persons, that SUP can be learned quick and by everybody to enjoy being active outdoors en enjoy the social aspects of SUP. After an introduction of former Olympic sailor Petronella De Jong, now active in SUP, and a show off of our Pro Rider Gaétan Séné of what can be done, people really went for it. Everybody enjoyed paddling around and in the end even getting speed on a downwind track, making the clinic a big success for all.
After the main event we had a true race on the M1 Race boards (12’6 & 14’0) by professionals Gaétan Séné, Anders Bringdal and guest SUP Pro Markus Perrevoort, which was won by Gaétan, making a good preparation for his upcoming Grand Prix Guyader long distance race 14/15 May in Bretagne, France.
At Mistral we look back at a well received event and a great representive for the coastal lifestyle Mistral stands for, enjoy an active life in an inspiring ambient atmosphere at any water front!
