Peter Hart competed on the international windsurfing PWA circuit and was the first Brit to gain a top ten placing in a Grand Slam event. He was always recognized as one of the fastest windsurfers on the tour and made that official by having huge success on the PWA windsurfing speed circuit. He was on the podium at the first Production Speed Worlds and was one of the first members of the 40 knot club. Back in the UK he ran windsurfing clubs and schools in Oxford and London (Bray Lake) before he was offered a place on the Mistral Carlsberg team.
“Mistral were ‘reassuringly expensive.’ With their glorious branding and their outrageously exotic megastars from another galaxy, Robby Naish and Pete Cabrinha, they sold an irresistible windsurfing lifestyle.”
Peter’s Master Classes have formed the back bone of his career. Here he talks about that very cool and neat alternative gybe, the windsurfing Duck Gybe. Be sure to view our Quikslide Freeride boards or Hyperslide.
