Sky Jibe 5.0m - Wing foil wing - Dacron®

Often the workhorse wing size for many wingfoilers, the 5.0m Sky Jibe will take regular use in its stride. This wing size is typically used by riders over 70kg during the learning phase in winds ranging between 10-25 knots and is the sweet spot size for many. Riders under 70kg can enjoy using this rig between 12 and 20 knots.

Due to the application of radial panels, which radiate outwards from the rear of the fuselage strut, the canopy benefits from working in line with the stress and tension created by wind pressure acting on the structure. With this added structural robustness, the wing takes on a more consistent shape and has an improved consistent power band. The result is a wing that instils confidence in the user during learning or when pulling off advanced moves. Limiting de-powering of the canopy on landings, pumping, and during wind gusts through our panel design was a critical element in improving the handling experience, allowing for a wide range of wind strengths to be harnessed.

Dual moulded control handles elevate the rider experience, promoting high control and sensitivity to the rider. This assists the rider’s level of control in difficult conditions, whether free-styling, wave riding or freeriding, in that the wing can be angled and fine-tuned to spill air when needed it and harness it when power is needed.

The canopy uses super lightweight Dacron® polyester spinnaker cloth, which is hydrophobic and UV resistant for durability and longevity. The inflatable structure areas of the leading edge and fuselage strut are fabricated with heavy-duty 175g Dacron®, offering tear and abrasion resistance to protect these critical areas and include a dual-valve system; one valve within the leading edge and another within the fuselage. The use of dual valves adds an additional level of safety.

The Sky Jibe wing includes a wrist leash for connecting the wing and rider and a lightweight backpack for convenient storage and transportation.
