Sky Jibe 4.2m - Wing foil wing - Dacron®

Our Sky Jibe 4.2m wing is typically suited to entry-level up to advanced riders under 70kg and is useable in winds from 14 to 30 knots. It makes a great addition to any wingfoiler’s quiver of wings. For heavier riders wanting to tackle winds over 25 knots, this is a perfect option.

Featuring our radial cut panel design, the canopy works harmoniously with the torsional forces acting on the panels, which radiate outwards and diagonally from the rear fuselage strut. The advantage of this panel layout is that it assists in keeping canopy stability when it experiences overload ‘moments’ such as when encountered during high gusts, pumping and landing impacts, causing the canopy to implode and de-power. The improved canopy stability means the wing can cope with a wider wind strength range, so you won’t have to change your wing frequently between different wind strengths.

In lighter winds, for lighter riders, the Sky Jibe is easy to pump to get the board up to speed and promote foiling. In heavier airs, it is very forgiving and manageable so that you can easily fine-tune the wing's angle of attack to the wind.

Aiding the control of the wing, moulded dual handles offer superb handling and provide high levels of control critical to high-performance manoeuvres. With this level of control, the rider can react and anticipate gusts and fine-tune when wave riding or free riding. From the water, pumping is made comfortable and powerful with the moulded handles, and when riding neutral with the wing behind, a webbed handle on the leading edge makes this a breeze; the Sky Jibe ‘flies’ exceptionally well with little pithing or yawing.

The canopy panels are made of Lightweight Dacron® hydrophobic polyester spinnaker cloth. The canopy is waterproof and UV resistant, making it highly weatherproof and durable. The wing's framework, including the inflatable leading edge and fuselage strut, is fabricated from heavy-duty 175g Dacron®. For added security, we’ve included a dual-valve system, one valve on the inside of the leading edge and the other on the fuselage. Trailing edge battens are included to reduce ‘flutter’ and drag.
