Vortex Air 12'6 x 20.5" - Inflatable Race SUP set

The Vortex Air 12’6 x 20.5” is a pure race board designed to do one thing well: go fast over flat water. Its design offers low drag with a minimal footprint (surface area) of only 20.5” width. Designed with precision, the 185 litre Vortex Air has the widest apex point strategically positioned just ahead of the paddler, maximising stability while minimising resistance. The soft underfoot EVA foam ensures high traction so that your feet and ankles stay relaxed when paddling over longer distances and when encountering choppy waters. For beach starts and when returning to the beach, a left-side positioned forward-mounted grab handle allows for grab-and-go control in an instant. At the rear, we’ve mounted a fast-flow, hard-edged tail rail under the tail area for improved water release and reduced drag. This limits vortices and back-wash, promoting fast water runoff with limited drag. Adding to the efficiency we’ve included our top of the line Mistral-designed all carbon 8" high-performance super light (121g) fin. The fin has just enough rake to keep it weed-free while maintaining efficient lateral stability. A raised foam step-back provides added confidence when executing step-back turns, providing added levels of connectivity with the board when going around the buoys.

Fabricated with our premium Twine-X® dual layer PVC, fused into a thin single layer, drop stitched with 15,000 woven polyester threads/m2 and includes bag, repair kit (including a spare fin screw and a plate for securing the fin), carbon race fin and leg leash.
