Even at 26” wide, this board glides over the water's surface easily and has plenty of top-end speed due to its low drag design. The widest apex of the board is just forward of the paddler, providing exceptional stability. The long tapered shape narrows towards the tail, promoting efficient water run-off and less resistance. The non-slip decking is comfortable and offers reassuring traction when paddling hard so your feet can remain relaxed during extended paddling sessions and in choppy waters. For fast beach starts, a Le Mans-styled forward-mounted grab handle on the left side allows instant grab-and-go control, which is ideal for fast starts and recoveries from the water. We’ve included a fast-flow, hard-edged tail rail to improve water release and reduce drag. This is unique to the Vortex Air board design and gives a real and tangible advantage in performance. To keep you on the pace, a top-of-the-line Mistral-designed, all-carbon 8" high-performance super light (121g) fin is included to support high performance further. The fin offers optimal lateral stability and weed-free use. A foam step-back pad provides confidence when executing step-back turns as you make buoy turns at speed. Using our Twine-X® dual layer PVC, fused into a thin single layer, drop stitched with 15,000 woven polyester threads/m2, the Vortex is a lightweight, durable SUP board. The set includes a bag, repair kit, carbon race fin and leg leash.
